Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, the best Star Wars film?

In the winter of 2017, I got done watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi and I thought it was the greatest film of all time. I was wrong, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is one of the worst films I have ever seen. In the summer of 2018, I was getting my hopes up for the next Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story, I was wrong again. In 2019 I am gearing up for the next and final film of the Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker. I am both excited and skeptical about the upcoming film. I was skeptical of the past two films because the story in both The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story was lame and was a comparison to both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. In April 2019 I attended Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, I attended the Star Wars Episode 9 panel. I was excited and sad to know that this is the last film of the original saga. During the panel I was excited to see all past and present cast members in the new film, I was excited to see Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams in person. I was surprised to know that Lando Calrissian himself Billy Dee Williams was returning to the Star Wars universe and he was in the new film. During the end of the panel I also got a glimpse of a teaser trailer of the new film, it was great seeing my favorite character Kylo Ren but the biggest surprise was the return of Emperor Palpatine played by Ian Mcdirmid. I knew after that that The Rise of Skywalker will be a great film. After the teaser trailer aired I was thinking about how The Rise of Skywalker will become a savior to the new trilogy.
I think that The Rise of Skywalker will be kind of like an Avengers Endgame type of movie, it will be a long movie, bring back characters (*Cough* Harrison Ford *Cough*) from past and present films and a conclusion that could change the franchise. I think The Rise of Skywalker will be the legacy of the late great actress Carrie Fisher, I read years ago that she was going to be the main character in the new film, her death really changed the franchise. I think that the upcoming film will keep her legacy in the Star Wars universe, I also think that using unused footage in the film is genius because keeps the memory of Carrie Fisher alive and not CGI remade. I am sad about the film as well because The Rise of Skywalker is Mark Hamill's last appearance as Luke Skywalker in the saga. Mark Hamill is a key character in the Star Wars universe because Mark Hamill made the Skywalker saga real and entertaining. In October 2019 another trailer came out for The Rise of Skywalker, it was awesome but the one sad moment is C-3PO saying goodbye. Anthony Daniels who portrayed C-3PO throughout all nine films is in his final year in Star Wars, I give Anthony Daniels credit for staying in one role for all 9 films, 40 plus years. I also think that a lot of questions will be answered in the new film, The Last Jedi did not answer any questions fans were hoping for. One example I hope they answer is how did Emperor Palpatine survive and what is he trying to accomplish. I think the conclusion for The Rise of Skywalker will be key for either a new start or finishing of a great run. The only downside of the film I hope doesn't happen is that the whole film is mostly Kylo Ren and Rey fighting like in the trailer. After The Rise of Skywalker releases, Disney and Lucasfilm should take a long break in developing new Star Wars films.
I think when The Rise of Skywalker is released it will keep also the legacy of the new stars Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Adam Driver. Their performances on the screen will determine if their characters will have a lasting legacy on the fans. Carrie Fisher will no doubt fans will cry when they see her on screen, Mark Hamill will also have his share of applause but the biggest one that will have an impact is Billy Dee Williams. Earlier I mentioned that Billy Dee Williams is returning to his role as Lando Calrissian, I think he will bring a great legacy for his good friend Han Solo. Fans I think are going to cry during the credits when they only continue the memory of Carrie Fisher, but mourn the loss of Peter Mayhew who portrayed Chewbacca for 5 of the 9 films.
I will be seeing The Rise of Skywalker on opening night so hopefully the movie will be great. Hopefully I will laugh, cry, be in suspense, yell and cheer. I will be sad that the journey of Star Wars is ending but I am more excited that the new film will hopefully leave a conclusion that will see the start of a new era.
