My Story

My name is Jason Barabasz. I am currently a Producer and Photographer at 23 WIFR News in Rockford, Illinois

I currently write, cut video, edit and stack stories for the 5pm and 6pm newscasts. 

​

On times when I am not writing the show, I go out and photog and edit stories for newscasts. I also write and upload stories on the website. 

​

From 2018-2021 I was a Technical Director, Camera Operator and Director for the Rockford Rivets Baseball Team.

In the spring of 2020, I graduated from Rock Valley College with an Associate of Arts Degree and a Media Production Specialist Certificate.

From 2020-2022 I was a Director, photographer, editor and a MMJ for TV-10 News in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois.

From 2020-2022 I worked at Redbird Productions at ISU, from Cameraperson to Director. I work many positions for the production side of sports.
